Center for Jewish Learning (CJL)
not your parent's hebrew school
Our Center for Jewish Learning (CJL) is a hub of activity in which our students actively engage in the learning process. Our K through grade 7 offers a spiraled Judaica curriculum with each grade expanding and advancing the content and skills gained in the previous year. At the CJL, children may get a chance to experience the following:
- Putting Jonah on trial as to whether he was a good prophet
- Learning how to be a mensch
- Participating in video conferences with schools in Israel with children of similar ages
- Participating in a mock Jewish wedding
- Student vs. faculty/clergy Ga-Ga (Israeli game) tournament
A fresh, dynamic classroom experience is augmented with thoughtful off-campus trips to heighten learnings and allow our teachers to explore with our students.
Register for 2025-26 CJL
After logging in and completing your 2025-26 Commitment you will gain access to the CJL Registration Form. Contact Robin Safarowic if you are a new member or if have any problems making a 2025-26 Commitment or Registering for CJL.
CJL weather closure announcements
Baby, it's cold outside and that means there is always a chance that classes, programs or worship services will need to be canceled due to inclement weather. You will be informed that the Temple is closing in the following ways:
1) An announcement will be posted at the top of the Temple homepage (www.tinw.org).
2) An email and text message (if you have opted in) will be sent from the CJL.
3) An announcement will be posted with the Storm Center sponsored by WHUD 100.7 FM.
